Defense of Dentists Before Texas Board of Dental Examiners

Defense of Dentist and Dental professional before the Board of Dental Examiners.

Professional License Defense Attorneys: Dentists

*administrative law, professional licensing defense, dentist

In the State of Texas, the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners is responsible for monitoring conduct and procedures in the dental profession. Through enforcement of the Dental Practice Act, the board ensures that the public safety is maintained and that behavior is appropriate.

The Texas State Board of Dental Examiners can impose disciplinary action against a licensed dentist for a number of reasons. The most common are negligent care, professional misconduct, chemical dependency, sexual or personal impropriety, and criminal behavior.

The disciplinary process begins with a preliminary investigation into the charges being levied. This procedure is typically conducted by the Enforcement Division of the Texas Board of Dental Examiners. If the investigation discovers evidence of wrongdoing, the board will either refer the case to an Informal Settlement Process or bring the case in front of an Administrative Hearing. By law, an accused person is entitled to legal representation at every step of this process.
